In order to improve the employability of the students by imparting required skills and making them industry ready, it has been decided by AICTE to introduce mandatory internship for students from the session 2017 – 18.

About ECI

Engineering Council of India (ECI) was established on April 4, 2002 as a Federation, in the form of a Not-for-Profit Registered Society, by coming together of a large number of Indian Professional Organizations /Institutions of Engineers to work for the advancement of engineering profession in various disciplines and for enhancing the image of engineers in society, by focusing on quality and accountability of engineers. Today there are 32 Indian Engineering Professional Associations/ Institutions, as members, representing practically all engineering streams.

15th National Conference

We are grateful to inform that the 15th National Conference of Engineering Council of India (ECI) on the Theme: ‘Preparing Engineers/Technologists for Role in Industry’ which was held on November 10, 2017 at New Delhi was very successful, attended by about 500 participants.

It was inaugurated by Dr. Satya Pal Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State for Human Resources Development (Higher Education). The support to Engineering Council of India is greatly appreciated by all, including our member associations of professional engineers. It has helped ECI in a great measure in furthering its objectives to strengthen the engineering profession in the country so as to better serve the industry and economy.
